Vinod Shankar Korgaonkar, popularly known as Gol Bandya is a player of the Ganesh-11 team. Gol Bandya started his commercial cricket career in the year 1984. Paramount Cricket Club, Shashi Bright, Ganesh-11, Vikhrolians are the teams he was involved with. However he was a long term player with Ganesh-11. He has mostly played in he role of an all-rounder and he as been responsible for many victories of his team.
When Ajanta Mendis became a threat to Indian players, Times of India suggested that the Indian cricket team should be trained with Gol-Bandya since he used to bowl similar spins as that of Mendis.
In the year 1994-95, he was felicitated at Taj Hotel for being the best bowler of the year in Time Shield Tournament.
