For the first in tennis ball cricket history, women tennis ball cricket will be telecasted live on YouTube. Unlike leather cricket, the number of tennis ball cricket tournaments played by women are very less. The awareness about women sports in India, especially tennis ball cricket is also not up to the mark. With the live telecast of the MWCA cricket league, it will be a huge boost to women’s tennis ball cricket.
The league will be played on December 22, 2019, at the Janupada turf in Thakur Village, Kandivali. An underarm tennis ball cricket tournament winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 while the runner-up will take home 6,000. Also, there are individual awards for the best bowler, best batter and best player of the tournament.
